About
A community hub for Westlake residents.
Westlake Austin brings community information, resident resources, local participation links, events, and local life into one place. It is not an official city publication and does not claim to represent local governments or organizations.
How listings are handled
- Every event, business, and update retains an original source link.
- Automated feeds are limited to sources with published subscription endpoints.
- Business coverage is source-bounded: public Westlake Chamber records with 78746 addresses, not an unsupported claim of every registered entity.
- Manual listings use short factual summaries, not copied promotional text.
- Past events and dated notices expire; cancellation and reschedule signals are preserved.
- When a source fails, old data is not silently presented as newly verified.
Coverage
The core area is West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, and the surrounding Eanes community. “Nearby” means useful but outside that core; “Online” means there is no local venue.
City limits, school-district boundaries, postal addresses, and the broader idea of “Westlake” do not perfectly overlap, so each listing carries a specific area label.
Source status
Corrections and reuse
Always use the original source for final confirmation. The project stores concise factual fields and does not reuse source photography. A public corrections form will be added only when there is an accountable editorial operator to receive and resolve submissions.
Source and access decisions are documented in the project's source audit.
